Signal Process
Sends a signal to processes matching a pattern.
Generates: a processes promise.
Settings
| Setting | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Process pattern | Yes | A regular expression matched anywhere in the process’s command line, not just its name — “nginx” also matches “vim nginx.conf”. Anchor it (e.g. ^/usr/sbin/nginx) to be precise. |
| Signal | Yes | One of: hup, term, kill, int, cont, stop. Default: hup. |
| How often | No | Every matching process gets the signal each time this runs. One of: Every agent run, At most once an hour, At most once a day, At most once a week, or Other… and Minutes between runs, at least 1. |
Example
The policy it generates, for example:
# Reload nginx
processes:
"nginx: master.*" signals => { "hup" };
